About TinyHome3DPlanner
We help you draw the tiny home you actually want to live in.
TinyHome3DPlanner started the way a lot of good things do — with a sketch on a napkin and a question that would not go away: what if you could try a whole house before you built it?
Most of us only get one shot at building a small home, and the mistakes are expensive. So we built a friendly planner that lets you move walls, place furniture, and stand inside your idea in 3D — all from your kitchen table, all for free. No CAD experience, no sales calls, no pressure.
Why we made this
Tiny living is freeing, but the planning part is lonely. Floor plans from architects cost money. Pinterest gives you dreams but no dimensions. And nobody wants to discover, three weeks into a build, that the shower door hits the bed.
We wanted a middle path — a tool that feels like doodling on graph paper with a friend who happens to know a lot about small spaces. Honest, warm, and genuinely useful.

What we believe
A few principles that shape every tool, guide, and cost figure on this site.
People before square footage
A tiny home only works if it fits the way you actually live. We start with your routines, your family, and your bad habits — then worry about the floor plan.
Honest numbers, no hype
Costs here are planning ranges to help you budget early, not builder quotes. We would rather under-promise than hand you a surprise later.
Small footprints, real life
Less space can mean less waste, lower bills, and a lighter load on the land — but only when it is planned with care, not just made small.
Built for everyone
Whether you are going off-grid, downsizing with kids, or sketching a backyard ADU, the tools here are meant to be friendly and usable — no design degree required.
How the site works
Four small steps between you and a plan you can hand to a builder.
- 01
Sketch it yourself
Drag rooms, drop furniture, and slide in doors and windows in the 3D planner. See your idea take shape in minutes, not weeks.
- 02
See it in 3D
Spin the house around, walk through it, and check whether the bed really fits under the loft before you commit a single nail.
- 03
Budget it honestly
Use the cost calculator for a planning range, then take those numbers to a local builder who can turn them into a real quote.
- 04
Build with confidence
Save your plan, revisit it anytime, and walk into your build knowing what you want — and what you can let go.
We will never pretend a tiny home is simple, and we will never sell you a dream we cannot defend. The planner is free, the guides are honest, and the cost figures are ranges — because your real build depends on your real land, your real builder, and your real life.
